• Birds
• Fish
• Reptiles
• Amphibians (like frogs)
• Marsupials (like kangaroos)
• Rodents (like mice)
• Primates (like apes)
• Cetaceans (like whales)

There are fewer vertebrates than there are invertebrates, but vertebrates are usually larger and can move more easily.

Vertebrates can be warm-blooded or cold-blooded.

Most vertebrates have large brains. This helps them have sharper senses so that they can adapt and survive more easily.
