This web site is designed to teach students about the importance of the peanut in Georgia. They will also learn about the founder of peanuts, George Washington Carver. There is a page that students will be able to listen to an interview with a peanut farmer. Some members of the group decided to find some dishes that are easy to make and involve peanuts or peanut products. They hope that the page will be very helpful to you. With many people having allergies, we have also included a page on allergies to peanuts and what medicines peanuts are used in. There are pictures, games, and quizzes to help students understand what peanuts are used for. We hope that this web page is an exciting way to learn about peanuts in the south.
