The Blue Ridge area of Georgia is a mountain range that is part of the Appalachain Mountains. It is also part of the Appalachain Trail. The Applachain Ridge and Valley are north of Blue Ridge. West of the Blue Ridge Mountains is Amicalola Falls, which means “ tumbling waters” in Cherokee language. The Chattahoochee River runs right under then east of Blue Ridge.  Carter’s Lake is northeast of Blue Ridge. Blue Ridge has 130 types of trees and 350 moss plants and related plants. Blue Ridge also has lots of animals. Blue Ridge’s region is the largest in Georgia. People that hunt and fish in the Blue Ridge love to catch fish and white tail deer. Some of the animals that are found in the Blue Ridge region are: beaver, cattle, raccoons, rabbits, copperheads, and wild mink.
