     What is Project-Based Learning?
Learning in Action . . ."Unless individuals take a very active role in what it is that they are studying, unless they learn to ask questions, to do things hands on, the ideas just disappear."

Project-based Learning (PBL) is designed learning activities that are long-term, interdisciplinary, student-centered, and integrated with real-world issues and practices. Students work cooperatively to solve problems and present their work to an outside audience. This final project might be a multimedia presentation, a play, a written report, a web page or a constructed product.

Characteristics of PBL: Relevant, Challenging, Motivating, Interdisciplinary, Authentic, Collaborative, and Fun.
