The first cartoon with sound was Walt Disney's Steamboat Willie starring Mickey Mouse in 1928. Animation technology such as multi-plane cameras and stereophonic sound were used in Disney's "Fantasia" in 1941. Today cartoons are commonly produced with computers. This makes creating cartoons much faster.
