Comets

Have you ever seen a shooting star in the sky? It's possible that it could be a comet. Isn't that cool?

A comet has been called a hairystar,one-tailed star, and a shooting star with flashes of colors. The colors may be blue, yellow ,orange, and/or  red because of how hot the glow is.

Comets come from space and a special cloud called an " Oort Cloud". The "Oort "cloud look 's  like a medium sized cloud in space's atmosphere. Comets are coming from minerals in the" Oort Cloud". They are made mostly of ice and rock. As the comet goes around the sun, the tail of the comet always goes out away from the sun because of the heat melting the ice and gases.

You have now learned what comets are and what they have in them. Hope you learned new and helpful things to help you understand comets better. One of the most well known comets is Halley's comet. It comes close too Earth every 76 years and the next time it comes around I will be 63 years of age in which the year will be 2061. How old would you be?
