| The climate in Maryland was
almost always warm. Part of Maryland had mountains and flat
spots in some places. Some people who lived in Maryland were
Catholics from England. Catholics wanted to
practice their own religion and feared in England they would get
arrested. King Charles 1st had planes for Maryland but died
suddenly, so his Lord Baltimore ruled Maryland after him.
The important cash crop in Maryland was tobacco.
