Each mythology was created for different reasons, but most were created for religious reasons. People in ancient times, and some today, worshiped and worship these gods and goddesses. They would bring offerings to their different temples according to what they wanted. The stories of these gods and goddesses were also made up to explain different occurrences such as the changing of the seasons and the creation of the universe.

            In this website you will find four major mythologies: Celtic, Egyptian, Norse, and Greek. There was a great variety of mythologies to choose from, but we chose these four because these are the four that are most referenced in our culture today.
