Coke has had a national lemon-lime flavored drink for many, many years. At the turn of the century Pepsi decided to catch up. 2000 was the year for new development in the Pepsi world. After redoing some old favorites, Pepsi decided to start a new lemon-lime flavored drink. This drink would be named Sierra Mist. With advertising of “Shockingly Refreshing” Sierra Mist was an instant hit. With its caffeine free, shockingly refreshing taste it quickly became one of Americas Favorite lemon-lime soft drinks. In some opinions Sierra Mist should actually be called a lime-lemon drink, because it has more of a bite and lime taste.
