TSUNAMIS

What is a tsunami?

A tsunami is a huge wave that is caused by an underwater volcanic eruption, earthquake, or landslide.

Where does a tsunami normally occur?

They normally occur in the Pacific Ocean where there is a layer mainly made of water. Tsunamis can't happen anywhere else than the coastal region. Islands are the most likely to have one.

Safety

You should always keep a safety kit if you live anywhere. If you ever get caught in a snow storm, tsunami, earthquake, or volcano, you will need to be ready for anything! For  example, you would need canned foods, flashlights, (plenty of batteries) first aid kits, and more. Look below the table at the very bottom and find all the things you will need. Also, if you EVER feel an earthquake around the Pacific Ocean area you should turn your battery powered radio on to see if a tsunami is on the way! If a small tsunami has hit your area there could be a big tsunami just a couple of miles away.
